Marjoram is closely related to oregano and is a member of the mint family. It is among the herbs included in herbes de Provence.
Marjoram is reminiscent of sage in both leaf texture and taste. It has a strong flavor and should be used sparingly in recipes.
Store marjoram as you would fresh flowers, stem ends in a small jar of water, loosely covered by a plastic bag in the fridge, or seal the entire bunch in a plastic bag in the fridge and keep it dry. It should last you a week to two weeks. You can also dry marjoram for later use.
