General Info

Plums come in a wide variety of colors from deep red to green, purple, and yellow. Plums are relatives of the peach, nectarine, and almond.

Pluots are a cross between a plum and an apricot with traits that are more similar to a plum in looks, though the flavor is often two toned, hinting of apricot.

Serving Suggestions

Eat plums fresh or slice and use in a cobbler, pie, or other baked recipe.

Vanilla, nutmeg, chocolate, butter, citrus, fresh cheeses, arugula, chiles, fennel and basil are complementary flavors for plums.
